Huay Tung Tao Lake

If you are looking for a place to relax after or between visiting the bustling and tourist covered city of Chiang Mai, Huay Tung Tao Lake is the place we would recommend.

Easily accessible, this quiet lake is located close to the 700 Year old stadium, just 10 minutes drive from the city. Overthere you will enjoy a variety of activities such as : walking among nature, fishing, paddling, springy, trampoline, paintball, ATV or just relaxing in a traditional bamboo hut and enjoying traditional Chiang Mai food at low price.

Huay Tung Tao Lake is very famous among Thai people: locals like to spend a lazy afternoon during week ends or jog around in the evening. The lake prsents two 5 km long paved paths where joggers and cyclists like to meet.

At the North-west of the reservoir, there is a five meters high standing Buddha, giving peace and serenity to the whole area.

For the very courageaous ones, the parachute drill awaits you. Controlled by the military camp, this 34 feet jump costs 100 baht and is safe. Also,if you are an enthusiastic bird watcher you can view some exceptional and beautiful migrant birds while you relax along the banks of the lake.
