     When entering Thailand (usually at the airport) you automatically get a 30-day tourist visa.

If you are planning on staying for more than 30 days you can go to the nearest border check point in Mae Sai, Golden Triangle. There you will get another 30 days, fee is 500THB on the Myanmar (Burma) side.
